The Artist


Diane Elliott was initially trained and employed as a photographer by the University of Alabama.

She served James Madison University and  the Shenandoah Valley Community as a professional photographer for over thirty years, capturing myriad images of the Valley's cultural, community, campus, scholastic and sports activities.

She has contributed a wide range of valuable photographs of people, places, and events to the media, enhancing newspaper and magazine articles featuring the University and the Valley.

More recently, Ms. Elliott is exploring digital image enhancement and image presentation and management services.

She conducts occasional photography classes and workshops, while continung to provide Shenandoah Valley enterprises and institutions exceptional services as a free-lance photographer, covering the many commercial, social, and geographical phenomena which contribute to the Valley's beauty, cultural charm, economic prosperity and social values.

Among the awards and recognition she has received for excellence in photography are those from the University Photographers Association and the Staunton Fine Arts Association. Most recently, she received recognition from the Virginia Business Association for her photographs and several CASE Awards for her photography in magazines and brochures.

Diane's Photography is published by these Shenandoah2000 Galleries and has been exhibited by these other Shenandoah Valley Galleries.
